During my holidays in India at the beginning of 2014 I received a message from Candela, an old friend. She said: “I have a friend who is getting married in Normandy this year, and I have told her all about you”, I jumped for joy since this was a very important moment for Volvoreta Weddings, we were just launching our “Destination Wedding” section.
This wedding was a fairy tale wedding. It felt as if you were in a Hugh Grant film were love always wins. Unbelievable! Love was the theme of the wedding. Inés has a very close relationship with her father who has been fighting cancer for the past 7 years. When she realised that the day of her wedding was fast approaching and that her father was going to be able to be present, she decided to make him a big part of her wedding. Inés decided to celebrate the wedding at “Pontrancart”, the old family house where her father has experienced many special moments, and she has spent many beautiful summers.
Thank you Inés and Alfredo for sharing this magical wedding with us. The atmosphere was intimate, relaxed and fun. One could walk around the Chateau and its wonderful gardens, find children hiding, beautiful details here and there, a group of musicians playing among the trees and guests enjoying themselves. The cocktail party took place in the garden giving it the feel of an afternoon in the country. There were balloons released in to the air, surprise fireworks, and a great celebration. The whole time, Inés and Alfredo, and all their guests were smiling. And even I smile, when I look at the photographs again.
