Dude Love. Love Pays with Love

These were Jess’s first words to us:

My fiancé is German. : ) I met him when we were eleven years old in school. We were in the same group of friends but later at 18 we started dating. From January to April of that year we went to New Zealand and Australia. Eight years later as a couple he proposed to me in a park in Sydney with a picnic and the skyline as a backdrop. It was magical!

Jessica wins you over in a moment when you hear her sweet Mexican accent. After having lived many years in Germany you can see a mix between her Mexican character but also her taste for organization and timing. Tobi wins you over at his own rhythm with his politeness and willingness—a classic gentleman that harkens to a young Paul Newman (defender of his ideals and married to the same woman for 50 years).

A Mexican-German couple with a wedding in three languages. It opened step by step, first with an intimate ceremony in the Schloss Ahrensburg Castle and afterward a boat cruise on Lake Alster.

The wedding the next day was held in St. Michaelis Kriche in Hamburg. From there we joined all of the guests for a boat ride on the Hamburg River to see the Elbphilharmonie (where the couple got dressed that day) and the Speicherstadt. The boat ride was an hour and a half of enjoying views of the city and its surroundings until we arrived at Ballsaal Süllberg Hotel Hamburg and its surrounding gardens that look out over a beautiful view of the mountain.

The most beautiful aspect of my job is to observe and learn from love. And when you see it, it infiltrates your very being. Thank you for sharing a weekend full of love and letting us be a part of it. And how can you get better than ending with Frank Sinatra? You deserve nothing less!

Love is all that I can give to you
Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don’t break it
Love was made for me and you

La Habana, Cuba

“Shiny happy couple in La Habana”

Elena is pure light and, according to her, rather than see the glass half full, she prefers to fill it. Javi and his bright blue eyes, since childhood he is known as “Happy”.

With such a presentation, it is not surprising that they chose Cuba as the perfect place to get married because Elena and Javi could perfectly be a “Shiny happy people” … in Havana.

All this light and joy, pushed them to take love one step further, making their wedding a Cuban experience for everyone: The experience of knowing the Cuban roots of Elena, from the moment they decided to marry in the same church in which years ago, their grandparents got married. The experience of living in our own skin (and feet) the Cuban flow in 3 days of celebration! But above all, the wonderful experience of seeing how love crosses frontiers.

Is amazing to see how there are guests coming from different parts of the world to share that moment of happiness … but in this case, all of them were from different places! I could say that 99% of the guests were from anywhere, except Cuba. And there we all were, some of us working, others as guests, but aaall of us … enjoying their particular Cuban party, celebrating and spreading love all around!

It is amazing what the energy and positivity of Elena and Javi can do, and the number of smiles that always surround them. But, when a couple radiates love in this way … it receives it in huge quantities!

I always say that the more love you give, the better you are, and at weddings like this I could saw it with my own eyes (and camera), because every time I see these photos I travel back to the beautiful and colorful Havana, living again those three days of celebration of love that Elena and Javier gave us.

A BUNCH OF THANKS.
